This notice covers the Guddun waitlist on this site. It tells you what we collect when you join, why, who receives it, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Guddun is a product of Plaw, Inc. We decide how your details are used, so we are the controller of your data.
Plaw, Inc., 2261 Market Street STE 98749, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA.Email hello@guddun.com about anything in this notice.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we save:
- your email address, in lower case
- which form you used: the top or the bottom of the home page, or the end of the sample run at /try
- your browser’s user agent, up to 512 characters. This text names your browser and operating system.
- the country your request came from, as Cloudflare reports it
- the time you signed up
We do not store your IP address with your sign-up. To stop abuse, Cloudflare limits how often one IP address can send the form. The form also has a hidden field that people do not see. If a bot fills it in, we do not save the sign-up.
Why we use it
We use your email address for one thing: to contact you about early access to Guddun. Our lawful basis is your consent. You give it when you submit the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.
We keep your user agent and country, and Cloudflare checks your IP address, to spot automated or abusive sign-ups and to see which countries interest comes from. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in a waitlist that is free of abuse and in knowing where demand comes from. You can object to it at any time.
We do not sell your details. We do not share them for marketing. We do not use them for advertising.
You do not have to join. Without your email address, we cannot contact you about early access.
We make no automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you. Guddun is a service for businesses. The waitlist is not aimed at children.
Who receives it
Two companies handle your details.
- Cloudflare runs this site. It stores the waitlist in a Cloudflare D1 database. It sends the sign-up emails described below, from waitlist@mail.guddun.com. It also forwards email you send to hello@guddun.com.
- Google hosts our team’s mailboxes, where those emails arrive.
Each new sign-up sends one email to each of two people on our team. One mailbox is on Google Workspace. The other is a personal Gmail account. The email holds your email address, the form you used, your country and your sign-up time. It does not hold your user agent. Its reply address is your email address, so we can answer you directly.
When something fails, our own code logs the type of error and its code. It never logs email addresses. Cloudflare’s request logs for this site can include your IP address.
International transfers
Plaw, Inc. is in the USA. Cloudflare and Google are US companies. So your details may be processed in the USA, outside the UK.
We created the waitlist database with Cloudflare’s Western Europe location hint. A location hint is a preference. It does not guarantee where the data stays.
Cloudflare, Inc. and Google LLC take part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, including its UK Extension. We checked this on 7 October 2026 at dataprivacyframework.gov. Plaw, Inc. itself is not certified under the Data Privacy Framework, so the Framework does not cover the details we hold ourselves.
How long we keep it
- Your waitlist entry: until you ask us to remove it, or until the waitlist closes. Then we delete it.
- The sign-up emails in our mailboxes: we delete them at the same time as your waitlist entry.
- Emails you send to hello@guddun.com: as long as we need to answer you.
- Cloudflare’s request logs: up to 7 days.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access. Ask for a copy of your details.
- Rectification. Ask us to correct them.
- Erasure. Ask us to delete them.
- Restriction. Ask us to limit how we use them.
- Objection. Object to how we use them.
- Portability. Ask for them in a common, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent. Stop at any time. We then remove you from the waitlist. Withdrawing does not make our earlier use of your details unlawful.
To use any of these rights, email hello@guddun.com. If you can, write from the address you signed up with, so we can find your details. We reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we use your details, please tell us first at hello@guddun.com.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising.
Changes to this notice
When we change how we use your details, we update this notice and its date. Before we use your details for a new purpose, we tell you by email.
